One aspect of my work is food photography. I love good food, homemade and in a restaurant. It helps to have easy access to fresh food. We started growing our own herbs and vegetables in the garden (Thanks to Mike from Owngrown) and so far, beside butternut the greatest success are Jalapeños and Chillis.
When I took this picture, I was debating with myself, if I shouldn’t just photograph the perfect samples and probably would have had to reduce the selection to maybe 1 or 2. On the other hand, the imperfections, I found interesting and worthwhile taking the picture. It added character.
